Gavin has been sleeping 8 hours on a regular basis at night lately. But last night he shocked me by sleeping for 10 hours. Thing is I had to wake him up. Kyler is always the first one up in the morning, and he always wants to snuggle, so I was snuggling him and I was like, "oh, oh...here comes a let down." And of course 1 minute later I was soaked. So I went and woke Gavin up so I could feed him. Gavin will be 6 weeks old tomorrow.
Kyler loves to point and stare at Gavin. We have to watch how close he gets to Gavin. We've recently started teaching Kyler about nose, eyes, mouth, ears, etc, so if you have Kyler on your lap he's likely to poke you in the eye to get you to say "Eye". Well as much as we tell Kyler to be soft he still wants to poke Gavin in the eye too.
KJ says Gavin smiled at him while he was awake the other day, but I didn't see it. But yesterday he did smile at me a few times. I need to catch it on our camera, but currently the battery charger for the camera is MIA, and the battery is dead, so I can't download pics or take new ones.
KJ and I are having some success with the diet he and I are on (Fit for Life/Food Combining). Besides lbs being lost it's such a great feeling fitting into smaller clothing that you haven't been able to in a while. It's a bit harder for KJ since he doesn't have the convenience of a fridge full of healthy food since he's on the road so much. Plus he's driving to deliver his product in po-dunk towns that quite often may only have one or two fast food restaurant options.
Kyler is continuing his obsession with shoes, and as soon as I get my camera back in order I have some pics of him trying on my shoes, and some old boots of Tristan's. Quite funny. I actually remember Kermie doing this too, but not to the extent that Kyler does it. Kyler is constantly walking around the house with someone's
shoes on his feet. And quite often it's only one shoe, which makes it hard when you're looking for a pair of shoes, because they're never together.
Well, it's getting quite cold up here. Last Sunday the weather was threatening snow. It's typically been in the 40's to 50's the last week or so. If you didn't know we live by a golf course, and it's funny to see how willing some golfers are to still get out there in the chilly weather. But I've heard that golfers are some of the most dedicated people to their sport going out in all kinds of weather.
